OpenBVE is a free and open-source train simulator for Windows, macOS and Linux. It is a 3D train simulator featuring a variety of routes and trains from around the world. It is based on the same core engine as the popular Microsoft Train Simulator, though with a more modern and user-friendly interface. The simulator allows users to create and experiment with their own routes and trains, or to run pre-made routes from various sources. It also features a variety of realistic physical effects including realistic weather, terrain, and lighting. OpenBVE also allows users to add custom objects and scenery to their game world. The game is completely free and its source code is available on GitHub.
