Description

NVDA (NonVisual Desktop Access) is a free and open-source software application that provides a range of tools and features to help increase computer accessibility for people with vision impairments or blindness. It works in conjunction with a screen reader, which reads aloud text displayed on the computer screen, allowing the user to access and interact with the operating system and applications. NVDA also provides a range of features such as the ability to magnify the screen display, to adjust the screen contrast, and to customize the text-to-speech output. It also offers support for a variety of assistive technologies such as Braille displays, voice recognition, and joystick support. NVDA is compatible with Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux operating systems, and is available in a range of languages.
