Notability is an audio and music application designed to allow users to record, edit, and share their audio and music. It provides a range of features to help users create, store, and manipulate audio and music. Notability also features an array of tools for adding effects and enhancing audio and music. It includes instruments, automation, and recording capabilities, as well as the ability to share creations with other users. Notability also includes a library of pre-made sounds, instruments, and effects. Additionally, the app includes a range of tutorial videos and other resources to help users get the most out of the app.
Nothing like Notability in functionality or usability. Very limited for handwriting notes, and no option to make audio recordings unless it's a typed notes document which makes it useless for academics. Lacks all the features that make Notability a good application.
It's not based on anything. You can't draw on the screen.
Notability is free-form. You can write anywhere in the document, as well as draw. Evernote is very fixed.
Mainly the fact that there is no drawing feature in Evernote.
Evernote is a very powerful tool for capturing text and handwritten notes. I don't see a better alternative to notability and you can use Evernote on all platforms.
Likes the same things as notability.
OneNote does not handle PDF editing as easily. It requires file conversion and does not intuitively save annotations to the pdf being edited.
The same drawing and text functionality anywhere. Also supports PDF annotation and backup synchronization.
Notability is a documentation tool. Evince is a document viewing tool for certain file types, not a utility used to make documentation and notes.
Notezilla are small notes that you can paste anywhere. They are not organized in folders like a notepad would have. You can't just download a pdf document into a Notezilla note and start annotating it ...
It is a handwriting-based application that does not record online while note-taking does notability.
Excellent note management, pdf editing, zoom writing and works on ios, Android and Windows 10 with cloud sync notes.
This is as close as it gets, maybe not as clean in Notability, but so far it seems to have all the right functions.

Evernote is text-based, while Notability is touch-based.
