Description

Ncmpc (the NCurses Music Player Client) is a free and open source command-line audio player, developed to be a highly configurable, powerful, and intuitive audio player. It is particularly useful for users who prefer to use a terminal-based interface instead of a traditional graphical user interface (GUI) for playing audio. Ncmpc is designed to be used in conjunction with a music daemon, such as MPD (Music Player Daemon), which handles the actual audio playback and provides support for streaming audio over the network. Ncmpc provides a ncurses-based console interface, allowing users to control the playback of their music library as well as access streaming audio sources. It supports a range of features, such as playback control, playlist editing, song search, lyrics display, and much more. Ncmpc also supports a range of output formats, including MP3, Ogg Vorbis, FLAC, and WAV.
