NASA World Wind is an open-source 3D interactive world viewer, developed by NASA in collaboration with the open-source development community. The app allows users to explore the Earth, other planets, and the Moon using a variety of map layers, including imagery and elevation data. With the World Wind app, users can zoom in and out of the 3D globe, rotate in any direction, and search for specific locations. The app also includes features such as the ability to view historical satellite imagery, find places of interest using a keyword search, and measure distances and areas. NASA World Wind is available for both desktop and mobile devices, as well as a web application.
