Monolingual is a free OS X and Windows utility app (or website) designed to remove unnecessary language resources from OS X and Windows applications, allowing users to reclaim valuable storage space. It can detect and remove language resources from applications and system files, including multiple language versions of the same application, as well as localized versions of the operating system itself. This can help to reduce the size of applications and the size of backups, freeing up hard drive space for other uses. Monolingual also allows users to remove unwanted language files from their operating system, such as translations of text, images, sounds and other resources. The app (or website) can also be used to delete unused translations from other applications, allowing users to reduce the size of their applications and save disk space.
Discontinued The official website is no longer available and the app is no longer updated. The latest version, 1.0, released in February 2016, can still be downloaded from Amazon Appstore.
