LivePlasma is an audio and music application that helps users discover new music, explore connections between songs, and find related artists. It uses an algorithm to analyze an artist's music library and creates a colorful, interactive map that links related artists. The map includes both direct connections (similar genres, same label, etc.) and indirect connections (similar tempo, beat, etc.). Users can also search for any artist to instantly see their artistic connections. The app also provides access to a curated selection of playlists and new releases. LivePlasma is available on both desktop and mobile platforms, and allows users to create personal playlists and share them with friends.
Discontinued Apparently, the app has just been temporarily withdrawn and the website was offline. There is a blog post from November 5, 2016, with screenshots of a new version. The developer explains that the app will return. http://davidmckinney.com/discovr/
Discontinued According to their Facebook post on January 2, 2017, "We are sad to announce to our users that Musicovery is shutting down its smart radio. Musicavery is now focusing on providing other music services with its recommendations engine and playlists."
