Description

Libreswan is an open source implementation of the Internet Protocol Security (IPsec) protocol suite that is used to secure data communications over the network. It provides an implementation of the most important security protocols for Internet communication, including the Internet Key Exchange (IKE), the IPsec Encapsulating Security Payload (ESP), and the IPsec Authentication Header (AH). Libreswan also provides support for various authentication methods, including pre-shared keys, RSA signatures, X.509 certificates, and other methods. It is designed to be highly configurable and secure, making it ideal for use in secure communications networks. Libreswan is free and open source software, released under the GNU General Public License.
