Left 4 Dead is a cooperative first-person shooter video game developed by Valve Corporation. The game pits four human Survivors against hordes of zombie-like Infected creatures. Set in a modern day apocalyptic world, the game follows the Survivors as they travel through levels, fighting off the Infected and attempting to reach a safe area. Each Survivor is armed with a variety of weapons, including pistols, shotguns, and assault rifles, as well as items such as health kits and pipe bombs. The Survivors must also collaborate to complete various objectives and puzzles in order to progress through the levels. Left 4 Dead also features a multiplayer mode, in which up to four players can team up to play cooperatively.
