Gucharmap is a free, open source website and app that allows users to explore the Unicode character set. It provides a visual map of the entire Unicode character set, which includes characters used in languages around the world. This includes symbols, icons, alphabets, and more. It also provides detailed information about each character, including its name, Unicode number, Unicode category, and its corresponding HTML entity code. Gucharmap also supports search and filtering, making it easy to find the character you need. With Gucharmap, it's easy to find and use characters from different languages and scripts without having to search through the entire Unicode character set.
Discontinued The project is no longer being developed and maintained. The latest version, v5.0.181beta, released in February 2009, can still be downloaded from SourceForge.
This is not a character map. It is a font viewer. It is not the same thing at all.
Warning I do not know when it happened, but Google Chrome and other sites accused of Phishing to copypastecharacter.com.
Not a good alternative. It is just OK. It does not show all characters in Unicode code blocks. This is the problem with Microsoft Character Map.
