GpsMid is a free, open source, cross-platform application for mobile devices that enables users to track their location and view points of interest (POIs) on a map. It is powered by OpenStreetMap data and can be used on a variety of mobile devices ranging from Symbian, Blackberry and Android phones to Garmin and Magellan GPS devices. GpsMid provides a range of features including route planning, address finding, and POI search. It is designed to be used even when offline and can be used for a variety of outdoor activities such as hiking, geocaching, and orienteering. GpsMid also allows users to add notes, photos and audio recordings to their maps, which can be shared with other users.
