Adblock Plus focuses on blocking ads, but Ghostery focuses on blocking trackers.

ABP still allows some "user-friendly" ads unlike uBlock Origin, but both do not block trackers unlike ghostery ... but ghostery sells your data
Trackers can only track you better in the long run. But Privacy Badger turns the table on heuristics.
Discard "free" Ghostery, which sells your browsing data if you don't opt out of GhostRank during setup. Instead, go for these open source alternatives: PrivacyBadger (EFF compatible, open source tracking blocker), Disconnect (open source tracking blocker) and uBlock Origin (open source ad blocker).
Ghostery drastically hurts Firefox performance on my system. Disconnecting seems to improve performance.
Much broader than Ghostery, it doesn't do exactly what Ghostery does, but it gives you more freedom.
Too complex to use intelligently and effectively for the average browser user.
RequestPolicy is to control which domains can contact the visited page. While that improves privacy, it is not its primary functionality.
