Gens Re-Recording is a free software application that allows users to capture and play back music, sound effects, and other audio from classic Sega Genesis-era console games. It records the sound directly from the console's audio output, and allows users to play it back with a variety of filters and effects. It also supports recording from cartridges and other external audio sources. Gens Re-Recording can be used to create custom soundtracks, to make gaming videos, or to create audio-only recordings of classic games. It is compatible with both the original Sega Genesis console and the Sega Mega Drive.
