DoISO is a CD/DVD authoring software application that allows users to create ISO images of their data on CD/DVD discs. It provides an easy-to-use interface that allows users to create ISO images from existing data on their computer, or from data stored on external drives. The program also allows users to convert existing ISO images into different formats, such as BIN/CUE, NRG, and MDS/MDF. DoISO also features a burning engine which allows users to burn their ISO images to CD/DVD discs, and it also provides an image previewer which allows users to preview the ISO images before they are written to disc. DoISO also provides support for a wide range of disc formats, such as CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R, DVD-RW, and DVD+R. The software also includes a disc verification feature which allows users to verify the integrity of the discs that they create.

ImgBurn HAS to be updated to be considered an alternative? It is still one of the best ISO burners out there, without any controls, which gives you very precise control over the burning process. Yes, it is an alternative. No update does not mean discontinued I would rather have old software that works than new software that has bugs. Discontinued or not should be a criteria to be considered an alternative or not.
Bundleware The default installer contains Opencandy. A version without third-party offerings is available on the More download options page.
Discontinued The project seems to be abandoned. The latest version, 0.53, released in September 2012, can still be downloaded from the official website.
It is more of an alternative to Nero, but it handles ISO very well. Being upgraded or not should be a criteria. It works perfectly on almost all Windows platforms and does what it is supposed to do. The source code is available.
