CoyIM is an open source instant messaging application that provides users with end-to-end encrypted conversations. The app is designed to protect users’ privacy and security, ensuring that no one but the intended recipient can decrypt the messages. CoyIM also provides users with the ability to create their own private networks and to control who can join them. CoyIM also supports the OTR protocol for secure messaging, as well as a number of other features, such as message deletion, file transfers, and group chats. CoyIM is available for Windows, Mac, and Linux and is free to use.
Discontinued The project is no longer being developed since 2014. The latest version, 0.9.9.553, released in September 2012, can still be downloaded from GitHub.
