Celestia is a free, open source, 3D astronomy application. It provides a realistic, real-time 3D view of the universe, from the surface of the Earth to the outermost reaches of the cosmos. It can be used to explore the Solar System, other star systems, galaxies, and planets. It also features accurate star catalogs and photorealistic planets, galaxies, and other objects. Celestia can be used to simulate space missions and explore the history of space exploration. It includes an extensive library of spacecraft models, complete with accurate flight dynamics and realistic textures. Celestia can also be used to explore modern spacecraft, such as the International Space Station and the Hubble Space Telescope.
Stellarium is a planetarium, Celestia is not.
