Description

BandwidthD is a free, open source network application that provides detailed information about the use of network bandwidth. It tracks usage of TCP/IP network subnets and builds HTML files with graphs to display utilization statistics. BandwidthD can monitor and record multiple subnets and generate custom reports and alert notifications. BandwidthD uses packet sniffing to measure the amount of data flowing to and from a network. It captures data from any device that communicates on the network, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices. BandwidthD is useful for network administrators who need to troubleshoot network problems or monitor network usage. It can also be used by ISPs to monitor customers and ensure network performance.
