AWStats is a free web log analyzer software written in Perl and distributed under the GNU General Public License. It is used to analyze web server log files and generate web site activity reports. The results are presented in an easy-to-read format which can be used to identify peaks and trends in user activity. AWStats can be used to analyze web server log files in a variety of formats, including Apache, IIS, and Nginx. It can also extract data from FTP and mail server log files. Once the log file data is collected, AWStats parses the data and generates detailed reports, including summary statistics, visitor trends, and visitor paths. AWStats is suitable for both large and small websites, and is available for both Windows and Linux operating systems. It is also available as a plug-in for popular content management systems such as WordPress and Joomla.
