Anbox is an open source Android operating system-based software solution that allows users to run Android applications on any Linux-based desktop or laptop. The Anbox project is focused on bringing the Android experience to desktops, laptops, and other devices without requiring the user to install a separate Android OS. Anbox was developed by the Canonical Ltd. team, responsible for the Ubuntu Linux-based operating system. Anbox provides a secure container for Android applications to run in, eliminating the need for users to manually install the Android OS or its apps on their device. It also isolates the Android applications from the host system, meaning that the Android applications and the host system are completely separate from each other. This provides a secure way of running Android applications on a desktop or laptop without compromising the user's system security. Anbox allows users to install and run Android applications directly from the Google Play Store, as well as sideloading apps from third-party sources. The Anbox Dashboard provides tools to manage the applications, as well as allowing users to customize the appearance of the Android interface. Additionally, Anbox provides system-level integration with the host system, allowing users to share files and settings between the two systems.
Bundleware The emulator automatically installs sponsored Android applications along with your own.
