Description

XTIDE Universal BIOS (also known as XT-UNI) is an open source, free software project that provides a single core BIOS for a wide range of vintage and modern x86-compatible PCs. XTIDE-UNI is designed to enable booting of multiple operating systems, including older and newer versions of Microsoft Windows, as well as other operating systems such as Linux, FreeBSD, and DOS. It also supports a variety of popular hardware devices, including network cards, sound cards, and video cards. XTIDE Universal BIOS also provides support for various virtualization technologies, such as VMWare and QEMU, which can be used to run multiple operating systems simultaneously. Additionally, XTIDE Universal BIOS includes a variety of additional features, such as support for disk compression, disk mirroring, and disk partitioning.
