Puede anotar PDF como si estuviera usando un papel, sin cuadros de texto especiales como en otros editores de PDF. Además, Xournal guarda sus anotaciones en un archivo XOJ separado, que es realmente pequeño en comparación con el PDF original. Al tener un archivo separado para las anotaciones, puedo compartir el PDF sin compartirlos, y no necesito duplicar el PDF, lo que ahorra espacio. Las desventajas son una interfaz obsoleta y una forma rara de usar herramientas.
