xNormal is a free 3D application for Windows, Mac OSX and Linux that helps to create normal maps for game development, 3D modelling and animation. It provides a comprehensive set of tools for normal map creation, including the ability to generate normal maps from high resolution meshes and the ability to create normal maps from the height maps of low-resolution meshes. It also has an intuitive user interface and a range of options for customizing the final normal map. xNormal also offers a range of options for baking textures, including the ability to bake textures from high-resolution meshes to low-resolution meshes, and the ability to bake textures from multiple high-resolution meshes. xNormal can also be used to generate ambient occlusion maps and ambient occlusion maps with color.
