X-Lite is a softphone application that enables users to make Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) calls from their computer. It is a lightweight, yet powerful, easy-to-use, and feature-rich application that allows users to make free calls to other X-Lite users, or to take advantage of their free SIP-based calling services, such as SIPBroker. X-Lite also offers many of the features found in commercial VoIP applications, such as call forwarding, call waiting, call hold, call transfer, voicemail, and more. Additionally, X-Lite integrates with popular instant messaging applications, allowing users to chat with their contacts while on a call.
