Wget is a command line tool used to download files from the internet. It is a non-interactive tool, meaning that it can be used without the user needing to manually enter any additional input. Wget is capable of downloading entire websites and can follow links within the downloaded website to download all the resources associated with the website. Wget is open source software, released under the GNU General Public License. It is available for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X operating systems. Wget is an excellent tool for retrieving files from the web, and is especially useful for downloading large files quickly and reliably, as it can resume a broken download if the connection is lost. Wget also supports HTTP and HTTPS, and can handle FTP and FTPS (FTP over SSL/TLS) protocols.
A great download utility with many more features than Wget.
