Description

WebTorrent is an open-source software application designed to allow users to share files and data over a peer-to-peer (P2P) network. It works similarly to other file-sharing applications such as BitTorrent, but instead of relying on a central server, users connect directly with each other. The application does not require a download and can be used in web browsers and other devices. It allows for faster downloads, as well as the ability to stream media, such as podcasts and videos, in real-time. WebTorrent also supports the use of "magnet links" which are a type of link that contains information about the file being shared, such as its size, so that users don’t need to download the entire file before they can begin sharing. Additionally, WebTorrent supports DHT, which is a protocol that allows users to find peers without the need for a tracker.
