Webinject is a testing tool for web applications and web services. It is a scripting language that enables users to create powerful scripts to validate functionality and performance of web-based applications. The scripts can be used to simulate a large number of simultaneous users, enabling users to test the scalability of their applications. Webinject also allows users to test for the presence of vulnerabilities, such as cross-site scripting, SQL injection, and buffer overflows. It can also be used to test for the presence of secure connections, such as SSL/TLS, and verify the secure connection is using the latest protocol. Finally, Webinject can also be used to monitor web application performance, including response times and throughput.
