It is a social networking application that allows users to manage their Twitter, Seesmic, and other social networks in one easy-to-use interface. It also has a desktop notification feature, allowing users to stay up to date on what their friends and contacts are saying. With Twhirl, users can post updates, track trends, search for specific users, view profile information, and view conversations between users. Twhirl also has an auto-refresh feature which allows users to keep track of the latest conversations without having to manually refresh the page. Additionally, Twhirl has built-in support for image and video uploads and embedded links.
