TortoiseSVN is a free and open source Subversion (SVN) client, implemented as a Microsoft Windows shell extension. It is developed under the GPL (GNU General Public License). It is used to provide version control for software development, and allows users to keep track of changes made to files and directories over time. TortoiseSVN provides a user interface for Subversion, which allows users to access and manage the versions of their files. It integrates with Windows Explorer, allowing users to access Subversion functions from the context menu in Explorer. Additionally, it provides an easy-to-use graphical interface for creating and managing file and directory versioning. It also allows users to create and manage repositories, as well as perform common tasks like merging, diffing, and reverting changes.
The trial version has far fewer features. Difficult to maintain files and review them as toirtoise.
Do the same job in different ways.

SmartSVN is overwhelmingly complicated and requires many steps to do what TortoiseSVN can do from Explorer (Windows version of Finder) with a right-click and a menu option.
