Description

TomP2P is an open source, peer-to-peer (P2P) communication framework for distributed applications. It allows applications to communicate, collaborate, and share resources over the network. TomP2P is written in Java and provides an easy to use API for applications to interact with each other. It supports several communication protocols, such as TCP/IP, UDP, WebSocket, and HTTP. It also supports distributed hash tables (DHT), distributed search, and distributed caching. TomP2P is suitable for applications that require data replication, data synchronization, and real-time communication. It is used in many distributed applications including peer-to-peer file sharing, distributed databases, and distributed gaming.
