Tiny PXE Server is a lightweight, open source software application that provides network boot capabilities for networked computers. It enables computers to boot over the network from a remote server, eliminating the need for physical media such as CD-ROMs, DVDs, or USB thumb drives. This simplifies deployment and maintenance of multiple computers by allowing them to boot from a single server. The server can be connected to an existing DHCP server, allowing networked computers to boot from the same image, or a separate image can be set up for each computer. Tiny PXE Server also supports Wake-on-LAN, which can be used to remotely wake up computers for maintenance or software updates.
Discontinued The project is no longer being developed. The latest version, 1.2, released in September 2013, can still be downloaded from SourceForge.
