Description

The MBROLA Project is an initiative of the TCTS Lab of the Faculté Polytechnique de Mons (Belgium) to develop a set of speech synthesizers based on the concatenation of diphones. This project is a worldwide collaboration of universities and research institutions, which provides a unique opportunity to join forces in developing and distributing speech synthesis technologies. The MBROLA project's aim is to produce high-quality speech synthesis systems that are free, open source, and available for use by the world community. The project's main focus is on speech synthesis for the use of speech-enabled applications, such as speech recognition and text-to-speech (TTS). The project also provides tools for research, education and demonstration purposes. The project's website provides access to the MBROLA database, a variety of tools, and support for developers.
