It's free, from Microsoft and works awesome with my 3 computers.
It provides the same functionality I need from Synergy for now. Windows-only is a clear limitation, but it won't prevent all users.

While the description is a bit vague, they seem to imply that keyboard/mouse input is sent to another PC when you move the mouse to a small window on either PC.

It is fantastically easy to use, although only on Windows computers, so it is not always an alternative to Synergy (which I am using now, because Linux ...).
