Muy agradable GUI que básicamente utiliza programas de codificación ya gratuitos como BeSweet, eac3to, x264, DGIndex, MKVtoolnix, AviSynth, VirtualDubMod, etc. bajo una interfaz única y fácil de usar. Simplemente selecciona los archivos, elige tus opciones y listo. Nunca he visto un programa más simple de usar. También es compatible con la cola de trabajos para que pueda hacer múltiples codificaciones. Sin embargo, un deseo sería portarlo a Linux. Sé que está escrito en .Net pero Linux realmente necesita algo tan fácil y poderoso.

AviDemux, VirtualDub, MediaCoder, todos ellos siempre tienen problemas para convertir mpeg-2 a XviD. Audio asíncrono o corrupto, entrelazado, representaciones abortadas, .... Excepto FormatFactory, que convirtió DVB-Rips a XviD sin problemas, pero solo con una tasa de bits baja (siempre ignora la configurada), StaxRip fue la primera herramienta (o colección de herramientas), haciendo su trabajo simplemente perfecto. Muy alta calidad, tamaño de archivo y tasa de bits que quería, capacidad de recorte y corte. Solo tengo el 100% de uso de CPU para criticar. Recomiendo la herramienta a todas las personas que graban películas DVB.
