Smite is a free-to-play, third-person multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) video game developed and published by Hi-Rez Studios. The game puts players in control of mythical gods from a variety of pantheons and tasks them with engaging in arena combat, using powers and team tactics against other players and computer-controlled characters. Players can choose from a selection of more than 90 gods and goddesses, each with their own unique playstyle, abilities, and strengths. Players are also able to customize their gods with different skins, emotes, and voice packs. Smite features an extensive item system and allows players to customize gods with items that can improve their performance in battle. Smite also offers a variety of game modes, such as Arena, Conquest, Siege, and Joust, as well as various seasonal and special events. Players can play in both ranked and unranked matches, with leaderboards and rankings to track individual and team performance. Smite also has a built-in in-game chat system as well as voice chat, allowing players to communicate with one another during matches. The game has a vibrant community and competitive scene, with professional leagues, tournaments, and other events hosted throughout the year.
