This is probably the best screenshot editor. You can add several screenshots to the same workspace and connect them. Excellent annotation tools. And it's free.
Awesome Screenshot doesn't force you to sync with your company's server like Skitch. But its viewer and annotation tools could be better.

Very easy to use, never any drama. Very configurable. No annotation features if I remember correctly, but for screen resolution and output to any location with custom / incremental file names it's just great.
