Description

SELinux (Security-Enhanced Linux) is a Linux security module that provides a mechanism for supporting access control security policies, which define what system resources individual users and applications can access. It is designed to protect the system from malicious or accidentally destructive behavior by providing granular control over system resources. It also provides additional security by allowing users to control the privileges granted to applications, including who can access what files and services. SELinux is integrated into the Linux kernel as an additional layer of security, and it is enabled by default on many Linux distributions.
