Players simultaneously throw out a hand gesture that represents either rock (a closed fist), paper (an open palm), or scissors (two fingers extended and the thumb tucked in). Rock beats scissors, scissors beats paper, and paper beats rock. If both players throw out the same gesture, the result is a tie.
