Retro City Rampage DX is an action-adventure game developed by Vblank Entertainment and published by Devolver Digital. It is a sandbox-style game in the vein of Grand Theft Auto, set in a parody of the 8-bit era. Players take control of “The Player”, a criminal who has to complete missions given to him by an unknown boss. The game has a variety of weapons and vehicles, as well as an open world to explore. Players can also customize their character with a variety of clothing and accessories. The game also features various mini-games, such as a top-down shooter, and a Frogger-like game. Retro City Rampage DX also features local and online multiplayer modes.
