Description

Read-edid is a command-line tool used to read and parse Extended Display Identification Data (EDID) from a monitor. It allows users to easily obtain detailed information about their connected display such as its manufacturer, model, size, resolution, color depths, and other features. Read-edid can also be used to extract a monitor's EDID from the system's BIOS or from the Windows registry. This information can be used to diagnose problems with a display or to identify compatible video cards for a particular monitor. Additionally, read-edid can be used to detect whether a particular display is connected to a computer and to test the compatibility of a monitor with various video cards.
