RasterVect is a computer program designed for transforming raster images into vector formats. It is used for converting scanned drawings, maps, photo images and logos into vector formats, which can be further edited in vector graphics editors like CorelDraw, Adobe Illustrator, Inkscape, etc. It also allows the user to reduce the number of colors of the vector image and to change the resolution of the raster image. The program can also recognize the outlines of images and convert them into vector objects without losing their quality. The resulting vector graphics can be used in a variety of applications, including printing, publishing, and web design.
Discontinued The project is no longer maintained since 2006. The latest version, v0.2.1, released in June 2006, can still be downloaded from SourceForge.
