Pisg (Perl IRC statistics generator) is a free, open source program written in the Perl programming language. It is used to generate various statistics from an IRC logfile. By default, it produces an HTML page containing a summary of the statistics and detailed information about each channel or nickname. Pisg works by parsing a log file, collecting data, and then generating statistics from that data. It can read log files in the standard mIRC, ircle, BitchX, mIRCX and ircII format, and can also parse a log file compressed with gzip. It can generate statistics for multiple channels/users at once, and includes support for displaying information about channel modes and user flags. Pisg is commonly used to create channel statistics for IRC networks, and is also used to generate statistics for individual channels or users. The statistics generated by Pisg can be used to analyze trends in channel activity and to identify potential problem areas.
