Pingus is an open-source, free and fun puzzle game created by Ingo Ruhnke in 1998. The objective of the game is to guide a group of penguins from one point to another, avoiding obstacles and dangers along the way. The player is given a limited number of moves in order to complete the level, and is encouraged to think strategically in order to succeed. The game consists of over 100 levels, divided into five different themes: Arctic, Mountain, Cave, Jungle and Factory. Each theme has its own unique set of obstacles and challenges, and the player must use their wits to figure out the best way to progress through the level. The game also features a number of bonus levels, as well as a level editor which allows players to create their own levels. The game has been praised for its simple yet addictive gameplay, and its vibrant, cartoon-like graphics. The game has also been praised for its replayability, as levels can be replayed multiple times in order to earn higher scores or find new solutions.
