PGE Project es un proyecto para mejorar las posibilidades de edición de niveles en Super Mario Bros. X. Si alguna vez has oído hablar de Terraria, estás familiarizado con la misma persona que creó Super Mario Bros. X. Hace mucho, mucho tiempo. En los días oscuros de 2011, el creador supuestamente recibió una llamada de Nintendo para eliminar a SMBX. Lo hizo, pero 8 años después, aún vive a través de las contribuciones de unos pocos fanáticos dedicados. El proyecto PGE es la culminación de sus esfuerzos. SMBX fue, por derecho propio, un maravilloso juego para fanáticos. El proyecto PGE busca hacerlo aún mejor, y lo ha hecho. El proyecto no se trata solo de hacer un mejor editor de nivel para SMBX (debo decir que el editor de nivel interno de SMBX, aunque es útil, tenía una gran necesidad de cambios en la calidad de vida, como un botón de deshacer); agrega más elementos al juego, como nuevos personajes, NPC y eventos.
Teniendo en cuenta que SMBX en sí es de código cerrado, creo que eso es impresionante. Usar el editor es un poco desalentador al principio, con la gran cantidad de opciones, pero hurgue y encontrará muchas herramientas útiles, como buscar un NPC específico ubicado en la sección actual del nivel, o un creador de conjuntos de fichas, por lo que puede realizar un seguimiento de sus gráficos personalizados. Todo sobre este proyecto se reduce a hacer que el diseño de niveles sea una experiencia mucho más llevadera.
