Description

Ngspice is an open source circuit simulator used to analyze and simulate various types of electronic circuit designs. It is based on the original SPICE (Simulation Program with Integrated Circuit Emphasis) simulator and is a part of the GNU Circuit Analysis Package. Ngspice works by analyzing the behavior of a circuit design according to the equations that describe its components. It can be used to simulate both linear and non-linear components, such as capacitors, inductors, transistors, and diodes, as well as complex components, such as op-amps, BJTs, MOSFETs, and more. Ngspice can also be used to analyze and simulate noise, high-frequency effects, and time-dependent signals. It has many features, such as an interactive GUI, an equation editor, and a library of components. Ngspice is commonly used by engineers, scientists, and students to analyze and simulate various types of circuits.
