Es un editor muy agradable. Es perfecto para gráficos de texto simples, y su capacidad para cambiar la fuente del texto, también permite ver pseudográficos. Tiene soporte para ventanas con pestañas, impresión, resaltado de sintaxis. Sin embargo, no siempre es adecuado para el trabajo, si tiene varias codificaciones. Permite detectar y abrir texto en diferentes codificaciones con vista previa en vivo, así como cambiar los finales de cadena (Linux, Mac, Windows). PERO, no permite guardar en otra codificación. Abra sí, cree nuevo (UTF8) sí, pegue y guarde como UTF8 sí. Pero la conversión en vivo y la exportación en otra codificación no funcionan, y eso podría ser crucial para la edición de texto; a menos que uno solo use una codificación, o recodifique texto usando una herramienta diferente.
