Description

ModelSim is an integrated circuit (IC) simulation and verification software package that enables users to simulate logic designs, including hardware description language (HDL) designs. It is used to simulate and analyze the behavior of digital logic designs, including RTL (register-transfer level) and gate-level designs. ModelSim also provides a wide range of debugging and analysis tools to help users identify and fix errors in their designs. The program can be used to simulate designs written in Verilog, SystemVerilog, VHDL, and SystemC. ModelSim is also used to create testbenches and to validate functions, timing, and power of logic designs. ModelSim is available as an integrated development environment (IDE) for Windows and Linux, as well as a web application for web browsers.
