Description

The MIT PGP Public Key Server is a web-based application that allows users to securely share, store and manage their PGP public keys. PGP (Pretty Good Privacy) is a data encryption and decryption software program developed by Phil Zimmermann in 1991 that uses a combination of symmetric-key cryptography, public-key cryptography and cryptographic hashing to provide secure communication, data integrity and authentication. By using the MIT PGP Public Key Server, users can easily share their public key with others, allowing them to securely exchange encrypted messages, verify digital signatures and authenticate data. The MIT PGP Public Key Server also provides a number of additional features, such as the ability to search for and download public keys, generate revocation certificates, and create a secure backup of your keys.
