Minesweeper is a classic single-player puzzle game that has been enjoyed by players of all ages for decades. The aim of the game is to clear a rectangular board containing hidden "mines" or bombs without detonating them, with help from clues about the number of neighboring mines in each field. The game is won by successfully flagging all of the mines without uncovering any of them. The game is played on a rectangular board of squares. Each square can be either cleared or marked as containing a mine. The player is initially presented with a board containing a number of covered squares. The player then uncovers a square to reveal information about the neighboring squares. The player then uses that information to deduce the location of the mines. The game has several difficulty levels and can be played with a variety of rules, such as "safe click" (which prevents a player from clicking on a square that they know contains a mine), or "open field" (which allows a player to open multiple squares at once without fear of detonating a mine).
