Miasmata is an independent, open-world exploration game developed by brothers Bob and Joe Johnson, who also created the award-winning indie game, Ion. Set on a remote island, the player takes the role of a scientist afflicted with a mysterious disease who is searching for a cure. The only way to find a cure is by exploring the island, gathering resources, and solving puzzles. Miasmata features an open-world, non-linear design, allowing players to explore the island and progress at their own pace. The game incorporates a variety of realistic elements, such as dynamic weather, day-night cycles, and an advanced physics engine. Players will also interact with a variety of wildlife, both friend and foe. The game also features a unique mapping system that allows players to create their own detailed maps of the island as they explore. As players progress, they will also encounter a variety of puzzles, hidden secrets, and mysteries to unravel. Miasmata also features a unique soundtrack composed by composer Joseph Ley.
