Memtest86+ is a comprehensive memory test utility designed to diagnose errors in system memory. It is a stand-alone program that runs outside of the operating system and can be used to test any RAM, regardless of the operating system. It is designed to detect and report errors in RAM chips, including parity errors, faulty RAM chips, or bad memory modules. Memtest86+ can also detect issues with your system's BIOS, including incorrect settings, faulty firmware, and other common problems. The program offers a wide range of test options and can be run in both interactive and non-interactive modes. It is very complete, adds UEFI support, more tests, is under active development and a free version is available for download.
